We just had breakfast at The Family Table and even though they were very busy (Sunday at 11:00am), the food and service was great. They came by to check on us every five to ten minutes and to top off my coffee. Pancakes were huge and tasted great. Even after I realized they didn't charge me for two of my extra eggs I'd ordered on the side and I offered to have them change my bill to reflect the added charges, they said "don't worry about it". Great place to eat in Decorah!
Fantastic waitresses and host and the food is just absolutely fantastic I would recommend this place to all my friends and relatives
Nothing fancy just great food
In 2016 I wrote, "Good home town cooking." After visiting in 2017 I can't say the same. Look, if you feel like it's appropriate to put a sign up saying, "Quality, service, price: choose two." then you don't want my patronage. There was so much fail in my last visit. Quality: your coffee cups are tiny, and your food is like cafeteria fodder. Service: the wait staff is grumpy and inattentive. That leaves one... You said I would get two!
I had their chicken dumpling soup one time - it was the first time I ever had it, and it was amazing. If they still have it, I recommend getting it. Otherwise, I love the small Mom and Pop feel to it. Nice little place to grab a bite.
